Tiger Woods’ net worth and how the golfing legend made and spent his staggering fortune

Tiger Woods debuted as a pro golfer when he joined the PGA Tour in 1996, and just a year later, he became the youngest ever Masters champion at the age of 21.
Now, almost 30 years later, Woods is one of the sports world’s richest athletes with an astonishing net worth of $1.3B, according to Forbes.
Throughout his professional golf career, Woods has amassed approximately $1.8 billion in earnings, which includes a record-setting $121 million in prize money from the PGA Tour.
In 2022, Forbes officially recognized him as a billionaire, cementing his status as only the second active athlete to achieve this milestone, following LeBron James.
Woods has leveraged his golfing earnings to invest in various ventures, including the ownership of two properties on Jupiter Island, a golf course design business, and the upscale mini-golf chain Popstroke.

In 2022, Woods and fellow golf star Rory McIlroy made headlines by co-founding TMRW Sports, a tech-focused venture aimed at revolutionizing the sports industry.
As part of their ambitious plans, they announced the forthcoming launch of a new golf league named TGL.
The superstar is also involved as a partner with Justin Timberlake and British billionaire Joe Lewis in Nexxus, a luxury real estate venture.
But along with his huge earnings came expenses from a lavish lifestyle complete with a star-studded wedding in Barbados – and a subsequent multi-millionaire divorce settlement.
Woods was married to now-ex-wife Elin Nordegren when the pair tied the knot in 2004, one year after he proposed to her during a trip to South Africa.
The two divorced in 2010 after being married for nearly six years and after having two children together, when he publicly admitted to infidelity and a series of transgressions he had committed during his marriage back in 2009.
The divorce was finalised in August 2010, with Elin reportedly getting more than $100 million in the settlement, according to TMZ.
Woods has not remarried but was linked to girlfriend Erica Herman from 2017 to 2023.
